The Treaty of Waitangi
The Treaty of Waitangi is a historical document that was signed by the Maori chiefs and the British government on 6th of February, 1840 at Waitangi.
There are three main articles that describe the treaty. These articles are about kawanatanga , tino rangatiratanga and protection of rights and privileges.
In the first article, kawanatanga means complete sovereignty over land for example, there is a resource, territory, landscape that the person owns it, he can do whatsoever he wants with his land so he can use it to benefit himself like he could put a whole lot of clothes shops and people would go there to get clothes for them self they pay and leave that is the end to my example.
In Second article,Tino rangatiratanga means self-determination , sovereignty, independence and autonomy, for example there is this lady she is famous for her designs one day there was this other lady took her new design but she had determination and she made a new better design and she took the “Best Designer in The World” trophy and all because she had self determination in her and she used her sovereignty to get there not from her family, friends no she did it cause she wanted to.
In Third article protection of rights and privileges, There are two main pieces of law in New Zealand that specifically promote and protect human rights. The Act includes, among other things, the right to freedom of expression, the right to religious belief, and the right to freedom of movement, and the right to be free from discrimination.
In the end of the conclusion they make peace with each other.
